Abstract
Traditional museums face persistent barriers ' geographic distance, physical accessibility, and static content ' that limit who can engage with cultural and artistic works. This paper presents a VR Gallery system built in Unity3D with XR support and a Supabase cloud backend, designed to make gallery creation and sharing open to any user regardless of location [7].The system is structured around three core components: Artwork Controls, which manages per-artwork interaction including an information panel, like and love reactions, and deletion; Gallery Controls, which handles personal and public gallery loading via a shared code system; and the Upload Panel, which allows users to contribute artwork through local file or URL image input, with JPEG compression and SHA-256 duplicate detection [8].A user survey of five participants found the app broadly communicated its purpose effectively, with an overall mean rating of 4.0 out of 5, though the upload flow was identified as needing clearer onboarding. Compared to prior work, which largely produced static, institution-controlled environments, this project demonstrates that real-time, user-generated VR museum experiences are achievable and practical ' offering a scalable and accessible alternative to physical exhibition spaces.
